purge conventional cosmetics

In Secret #4 we're dishing on the dirty secrets of the American cosmetic industry. I personally avoided this step for as long as I could because I was so attached to the coverage and physical confidence my conventional cosmetics provided!

But here's the thing... If you're buying your conventional cosmetics outside of America then you might be getting a much safer product! The American cosmetic industry has only banned 11 ingredients for use in our cosmetics, while the European Union has banned over 1,400 toxic chemical ingredients! Those same ingredients that are banned overseas are commonplace ingredients in US cosmetics! Just imagine what's pumping through your body!

Our skin is extremely absorbent and is a great way to get something right into our blood streams. Think about hormonal birth control patches, and even nicotine patches to help people quit smoking! They're just stickers on the skin but they can prevent pregnancy. Our skin is crazy absorbent!

I'm not saying to throw out everything you own and switch to only oil & vinegar. Remember that you don't have to change everything all at once! And some things you don't have to change at all! For example, I tried natural hair dyes, but I didn't like how my hair looked and it affected my confidence. So I still go to the salon and get my hair cut, colored, & styled professionally about 2-4 time a year. It does irritate my skin the day I get it dyed, until I shampoo using my own natural shampoo, but after that it's fine. I know the risks for my skin & my body, but for me at this point in my life it's worth it.

It's up to you to decide what you're comfortable with changing and what is going to make you happier to keep the same. But test the waters, keep an open mind, and make an informed decision. It's important to take it slow and pick one item at a time to switch! Always listen to your body and pay close attention to how each product switch affects your skin.

Good news is that for some of you, just this step alone can make a HUGE difference! Clogged pores & irritated skin from conventional cosmetics is a real thing! But it all depends on what is driving your unique skin issues.

Keep in mind that you've been unknowingly damaging your body with toxic chemicals for years! This is why we have to arm ourselves with knowledge and stop the damage we've been causing unknowingly!

There are very detailed extensive lists in the ebook on things to avoid, safe products you can make the switch to, and a ton more!

So be patient, give your body time to heal & recover, and don't forget to watch the video below for more & find the specific checklists in the ebook that will tell you what to avoid & what is safe!
